There are two ways to participate in the Venice Design Biennial, depending on who you are and what you want to show:

The Main Group Exhibition

The Main Group Exhibition follows a strong curatorial approach with a different theme for each edition, characterized by the interaction of emerging and established designers and brands.

The title for 2021 is Design As Self Portrait.

Collateral Projects

Collateral Projects are exhibitions presented in independent spaces across Venice, following autonomous curatorial concepts. They are part of the Venice Design Biennial programme and promoted through the official channels and press activities.

2021 Edition

As in the previous editions, the Venice Design Biennial 2021 will present a Main Group Exhibition, a series of Collateral Projects in independent venues across the city, and a programme of Talks.

The theme for the 2021’s edition of the Main Group Exhibition is Design As Self Portrait.
