The first Index Award was held in 2005, identifying the world’s most impactful and iconic sustainable solutions. Today, it continues to celebrate diversity, inspire hope and act as a catalyst for groundbreaking innovation.

The biennial Award has inspired more than 10,000 proposals for design to improve life from more than 94 countries.

Index Award 2023 will be the 10th edition and will take place on 28th September 2023.

The Index Award has five categories you can nominate designs in:

• Body
• Home
• Work
• Play & Learning
• Community

Within each of these categories, there’ll be one winner, making a total of five winners and a People’s Choice recipient.

Do you know of any designs that improve life?

Are you the creator of a solution that is changing an industry, saving lives or protecting our planet? Do you know any designs tackling local or global challenges in new or ingenious ways? This is the time to share!

Nominate your own or someone else’s solution to be in the running for an Index Award 2023.

The index Award welcomes all designs, who’re looking to solve challenges within the categories of Body, Home, Work, Play & Learning and Community. You can nominate multiple designs, and you have until March 15th 2023 to do so.
