Louis Poulsen: Product & Design Project Manager

Louis Poulsen is represented all over the world and now we are looking for a Product & Design Project Manager for the Product & Design (P&D) department in Copenhagen.

About the Role

You will be a key part of the P&D team, where you will manage Product & Design projects in alignment with and reference to Product & Design Director, to ensure a timely delivery and high standard of all P&D related tasks towards relevant stakeholders and touchpoints internally and externally.


  • Prepare product steering committee presentations, commercial and product news briefs, and presentations
  • Enforce structure and workflow within the Product & Design department
  • Establish and manage platform for keeping track of project timelines and delivery deadlines
  • Manage and update product pipeline overview, biannual product launches and campaigns – keeping track of changes and deadlines
  • Manage approvals with funds and heirs concerning design rights, relaunches, and product changes
  • Handle design and product name registration matters in cooperation with Louis Poulsen’s lawyer
  • Evaluate business cases and margin calculations
  • Manage forecast process in alignment with Commercial Directors
  • In charge of securing deliveries for PIM (Product Information management)
  • Manage production of online advisory board questionnaires, analyses, evaluate and present survey insights – in cooperation with external consultant when relevant
  • Portfolio performance analysis and price pyramids
  • Report market analysis, advisory board surveys and benchmark for existing and coming products
  • Advise during the pricing process
  • Drive insights of commercial related aspects e.g., product life circles
  • Prepare product discontinuation recommendations and process
  • Capture and share market competitive and trend insight
  • Participate in planning and assists in biannual internal launches
  • Manage 1-2 team members

Personal Profile

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. A master’s degree in business, or related discipline, is preferred.

We expect that the right candidate has at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar position at a global company. A background in a design-led furniture, lifestyle or consumer brand and experience working with creative teams is an advantage. You may have a background as a product manager, category manager or product development manager etc.

Personally, you have a strategic, commercial, and analytical mindset. You are solution oriented, structured and have a hands-on approach managing projects forward. You have a good understanding of customer segments and how to work with product assortment.

You are out-going, have a positive attitude and can work efficiently and independently, as well as being a collaborative team player. You can cope and work under pressure meeting tight deadlines.

You have an appreciation of and interest in design history and the contemporary design scene, as well as a curiosity for design, craftsmanship, sustainability, and innovation processes.

We expect that you have a solid background in basic IT tools, particularly with MS Office and preferably also Power BI and Monkey Survey.

You have excellent communications skills; the position requires English, both written and spoken. But Danish language skills will be a plus.
