Interior Design, Furniture Design, Product & Industrial Design.
My passion for design started while working in the building trade. I enjoyed building things that could last for decades. However, I also found myself building things that I could not stand by from an aesthetical point of view. In other words, I missed having an influence on the aesthetic process. This is why I chose to change trade, so I went back to college in 2011 to become a designer.
In my work as a designer, I draw on my experience from construction, which has given me a good understanding of materials and production technique; thus my designs can be innovative and still commercial due to the fact that I know how they can be done easily.
Having been trained in Furniture Design does not mean that I don’t work in other fields of design, too. I see my design education as a more general understanding of design which can find its expression in many fields of design and architecture.
