Just as merging curiosity and knowledge with design method is the foundation stone of all innovation, communication in collaborations is the key to make projects successful.

The Danish Design Council granted me the Honorary Award for 2021. It’s the only award in Denmark given for lifelong commitment to design.

I have focus on sustainability in textiles; my approach to this enormous challenge is pragmatic, ambitious and positive.

In the design process, I often cross boundaries, combine elements that are unfamiliar to each other, to achieve innovative solutions to function and aesthetics. Whatever I design a collection of fabrics, research trends for fashion textiles or develop never-seen upholstery solutions, I’m always profoundly grounded in my long textile experience gathered through work with industries over the world.
